NATIONAL BLACK SYMPHONY
ABOUT THE NATIONAL BLACK SYMPPHONY
The National Black Symphony was founded in 2019 as a means to communicate and share the African American cultural experience through orchestral music. With that limited scope in mind, we present musical programs featuring the works of African American orchestral composers and arrangers, performed by people of the African American diaspora, with African American guest musical conductors.
Share in our heritage, in our culture, and in our telling of our stories through orchestral music. All are welcome, and you're invited too!

EDUCATION
The National Black Symphony's educational programs are uniquely different from any other ochestra's educational initiatives in the country. Our approach is to nuture both the creative & business skills of classical musicians & music lovers so that they may thrive through the challenging music industry models of our time.
We not only seek to encourage the development and growth of future classical performing artists, but the classical music business leaders as well. Through innovative workshops, lecture series, and mentoring - we give exposure and experience top priority in the performing arts field!
